What's the difference between commercial-grade and residential vinyl?
Commercial-grade vinyl is built for double-rub abrasion counts, cleaning chemicals, and constant sliding in and out of a booth — residential fabric and vinyl are not. We also use marine-grade vinyl for patios and poolside seating, where UV and moisture would destroy a residential material in a season. In a working restaurant, residential material typically splits at the seams within a year; commercial vinyl holds for many years.
How long does a reupholstery job take?
It depends on seat count and vinyl availability. A handful of bar stools or a single booth is usually a quick turnaround, while a full dining room is scheduled in stages so you never lose your whole seating capacity at once. We give you an exact schedule with your free on-site estimate, and we build the plan around your service hours rather than ours.
Do you work after hours so we don't have to close?
Yes. Most of our installs happen overnight or between services, which is how we recover a full dining room without a restaurant losing a single cover. We also do on-site repairs — small tears, loose seams, and frame wobbles fixed in place — so minor damage doesn't have to leave the building.
Can you handle multi-location franchises?
That's a large part of our work. We keep vinyl colors and stitching specs on file so seating matches from one location to the next, and we roll through locations on a schedule that fits each store's slowest nights. Over 30 years we've restored more than 10,000 seats for restaurant groups and franchise operators across San Diego.
